The symbol of solidarity...

Andy texted last night and said he had a surprise... His e-mail said "a symbol of solidarity." What an awesome act of love and courage. Andy was handsome anyway, but his big heart makes him even more handsome!

Our kids have been amazing throughout this ordeal. We are so amazingly blessed to have them in our lives. (We don't want Tyler to feel any pressure!) Your idea of a "live strong" bracelet is wonderful!

    Sure enough, Andy is just as handsome without hair as with it. This is really an ACT OF SOLIDARITY, but that's our Andy---always a "BIG LOVABLE TEDDY BEAR".
    As one of the blogs said, "Grandchildren bring joy." We can certainly affirm that statement!"

    I will have to bring a picture of Grandma Besse to the reunion...Andy looks just like her (minus her white hair) in this picture. Same eyes, same smile...everything! Good job...I don't know that I could have done the whole shaved head thing!!!

    I'm not asking any more friends & family to participate in the clip-fest. There are some advantages - I haven't used a comb or brush in 2 months, but the is a definite breeze felt up there with air conditioning or the windows open in the car. The advantage with the car, is I don't have to worry about messing up my hair.

    I thought I remembered Hannah having cut her hair for the cause when she first came up to see you during Mike's surgery. Gordon is jealous---you've put ideas in his head. Emolyn

    Hannah did indeed cut her hair for "Locks of Love." Andy is showing his support by becoming bald like his dad... We think Tyler might grow his hair out...Bald is out of the question for him :)
