Today was a much calmer day for us. Mike feels well today. He has rested a lot and we feel much safer knowing he is being well taken care of on the oncology floor. The doctors are monitoring his situation very closely and assure us that he won't be sent home until we are ALL ready.

We have a hospital bed coming when Mike does return home. We have some more furniture arranging to do, but we know Mike will feel more comfortable and safer with hand rails and the ability to raise and lower his head, etc.

I felt like I couldn't move forward yesterday... Today we have been blessed with rain and sunshine and an abundance of love from friends, family and a kind wise Heavenly Father.

  1. So glad you had a calmer day and that Mike feels better. The decision to get a hospital bed is a very wise one for all concerned. Now you WILL have to have the PT department and the oncology department over for lunch! Tell Mike how much we are praying for him, okay? Love you both.

    Hugs,

  2. Nancy,
From my favorite Max Ehrman quote, "In the noisy confusion of life, keep peace in your soul."
Sending you good vibes and positive thoughts as you, Mike, and the rest of your family fight this awful disease.

  8. Hola Miguel...te amo, te admiro, te adoro. Espero que te mejores hoy y que puedas andar y usar los brazos mejor que antes. Quiero visitar, pero tengo el gripe otra vez. Descansa lo mas posible y todo va a mejorar. Mis oraciones estan contigo y con Nancy.

    Muchos abrazos y amor,
    Molly

  9. I second what Molly said! (Actually, I cheated and had a Spanish student here at the college interpret her comment posting)! Gotta love those clever Spanish teachers!!

I love, admire and think fondly of both Mike and Nancy too. You two are amazingly strong and can rely on the Lord for all things big and small. He knows your personal and spiritual needs. No doubt about it.

I'm waiting to hear Mike sing Happy Birthday to me and my day will be complete! Rick called this morning. I love my brothers sooooo much!

    Love and Prayers,
    Jan
