I'm so sorry, I know how both of you were so looking forward to being back home ~ I can't imagine trying to dig up the strength you guys are exhibiting. We will all be asking Heavenly Father to send additional strength your way in our prayers tonight!
Nancy & Mike, Your fight continues...rest and gain your strength so you can win new battles during the days to come. I share one of my favorite daily meditations with you. "I know that Jesus is in me - it is he who does everything in me: I do nothing."
So very sorry you had to go back so soon after getting home. Prayerfully, this is just a little glitch, and you'll be back on your way to recovery very soon. Do rest - a lot - it's the best thing you can do. Our hearts and prayers are with you.
in case you don't remember us---we are ted & catherine heiby of the eagle creek ward in indy which is in the indy west stake. my husband (ted) & i used to live in portland indiana many, many years ago and we were in the muncie for about 2 years (ted's mother is currently in the dunkirk boundaries, though she is not a member.) we knew you when you were called to the bishropric as a single young man and when david & la rene gaunt lived the ward, david taught gospel doctrine and institute.
ted & i live in indy now and just happen to be in the same ward as karla york houser (the oldest child/daughter of bruce & jan york). ted & i have been keeping you in our prayers for sometime---thanks to carolyn shafer, who still lives in winchester and goes to the winchester branch there. she & i have been friends for all of these years, thanks to la rene gaunt calling both of us to work in the YWCA there in muncie back in 1976! ted & i are both so glad to see that you are surviving this nasty cancer and doing quite well from what i can see here!

And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger: because there was no room for them in the inn.
