Mike's new bonnet...

We found Mike is amazing spirits this morning. He is so concerned about everyone else and how they are doing that I don't think he has had time to think about his own condition. He was moved from ICU this morning and is now on the neuro floor. He is up and about, and DESPERATELY wanting to use his computer and phone. He read the paper and was so dang happy to see what was going on in Funcie. The Doctor was very pleased with the CT scan that was taken this morning, confirming that all of the tumor was removed.

"...for I will go before your face. I will be on your right hand and on your left and my Spirit shall be in your hearts, and mine angels round about you, to bear you up." D&C 84:88

Each of you is an angel. Thanks for bearing us up!

Look forward to a picture of Mike in his bonnet :)

  1. Surely we can fix up the bonnet to match and look as stylish as the hospital gown.

  2. You might want to remember the words of Elder Joseph B. Wirthlin, "Sunday will come..." for hopefully it has. (Ensign, Nov 2006, 28-30).

We are so glad that Mike made it through the surgery in such good spirits and is ready to face the road ahead. All of you are in our prayers daily. Also, Mike - BMOTY -it looks like some people will go to any length to miss a board meeting!! Ha!

  5. Nancy - Thank you for keeping all of us updated. That doesn't surprise me that Mike is up and about already. Has he asked for his Wii yet to do some yoga? I pray for Mike and all of you as well. You are very strong people with a wonderful support system. Looking forward to seeing the bonnet! Take care! Brenda Irelan

  6. I praise God for the success of the surgery. I know there is a long road ahead and ask for God's presence for all of you during this time.

Also, by the way, Mike missed the Yorktown Properties Board meeting today. We gave him an excused absence!

  7. Nancy,

I certainly know one angel who is standing by Mike's side as Mike stood by his family in a time of need. I know Matt is so happy that he can help in some small way. He couldn't do that if he were here. :)

    Love and prayers!
