Mike spoke in his Rotary Meeting this morning and did a very nice job. He told his cancer story along with speaking about some Rotary projects which he has a passion for in Africa and Mexico. The talk was about adversity.
We hope for a bit of a reprieve from stress and worry this week end. We are all doing well. Hannah is coming home on Sunday. We are looking forward to spending time with her.
Again, the outpouring of your love and support is very humbling and overwhelming. I am thinking there are some thank you notes that I have not sent out... Do you all know how grateful we are for your amazing help and support? I sure hope so. God bless each of you.

I am sure the Rotary address was wonderful (because my brother is absolutely wonderful)!
ReplyDeleteI was so happy that Wes and I got to share some time with both of you this past weekend.
There is so much love, faith, and courage in each blog and it helps each of us in so many ways. I am sure our loving Heavenly Father knows exactly what you both need at all times and continued trust in his enduring care is vital. This is such a challenge that I never imagined would (or could) happen in our family. I just know that our family's faith will see us through as we learn from this trial.
I am glad that Hannah is coming home! She is so much like her Dad and it will be wonderful to have her love and support (in person). We know all of you are so close as a family. The boys are such good men and immensely supportive. You have done such a great job raising all three.
You are in my thoughts constantly and frevently prayed for each and every day. I wish I could help in some way. If you need me for anything...please call or write. I will be there in 5 hours...anytime/any hour of the day or night. If nothing else, I can be a soft shoulder to lean (or cry) on if needed.
All my love and prayers from us both,
Sis & Wes
Mike and Nancy and Hannah,
ReplyDeleteI've been following your blog. My mom has been keeping me up to date. My thoughts and prayers have been and will be with your family always.
Hannah, I am with my family on our way to dauphin island (or what's left of it). The house you stayed in with us is long gone in a hurricane (maybe katrina?!). I will be around Sunday evening, Aug 16th if you will still be in town.
I wish there was more I could do to help out. Hang in there.
Abby
Mike,
ReplyDeleteKim and I have been following your progress regularly. Thank you and Nancy for keeping us updated.
Our prayers are with you and your family. May the Lord continue to give you strength. We love you.
