Fall/Winter has arrived!

A few days have passed since I last posted... I noticed yesterday how chilly and fall like it is outside. This is not my favorite season of the year, but it seems this year it may pass by without my noticing:) This morning it actually felt like winter was here.

We are finally getting somewhat adjusted to life at home rather than at the hospital. Mike's therapy is going well. He is getting physically stronger each day. He has been sleeping much better at night and therefore I have too. I think we are about ready to "fly solo" at night. We have truly been appreciative of the night time caregivers. Mike has really begun to rely on them in order for me to get a good night's rest.

We have enjoyed having Hannah home for a few days. She always brings great peace with her. All of our children will be visiting today. It will be great to have them all here.

We continue to have great faith and confidence in the Lord's plan for our lives. We feel very loved.

  2. We are glad to hear that you are settling into a new "normal". I have to agree with you that this isn't my favorite time of year either. I always hate the end of summer. Although the fall leaves are so beautiful, the thought of them all falling off and leaving the trees naked is a downer for me. I always have to tell myself that it means Christmas is just around the corner and the kids will all be home soon! Michigan has been too cool for me this fall and is feeling like winter far too soon! Makes me want to make a pot of soup and curl up in a blanket with a good book!! Enjoy the beautiful colors and remember that wonderful promise of spring!

  4. Mike and Nancy,
Since we moved from Muncie, we've thought of you often, and especially now. We're grateful to keep updated on this blog. You're in our prayers!

  5. Mike and Nancy,
We just want to say Hi! and to let you know that Rudy is fine! He's actually sitting right next to me as I type this. This past weekend, he and our cat made up! :) So no more high speed chases for Tiger:) Rudy's so loving..always giving out kisses to everyone. Our daughters stop by during the day to visit with him, so he's definitely getting lots of attention.
We think of you both so often and continue with prayers daily.
Have a wonderful evening! Stay warm!
    Love, Mike and Sue
